I think I am in menopause?

I am 47 years old and have been having problems with my cycle. I can go anywhere from 10 to 60 days without one and I have had some very heavy cycles. Now, I have a cycle and it is lasting longer than usual. I have had it for 6 days now. It is light but sure is annoying. Is this normal.

Completely Normal. The first signs of the onset of menopause are irregular periods. Technically though menopause hasn't really set in until periods stop completely. Congrats on being menopausal you're in for a good time

Your Answer:
Quite normal but if you dislike the idea of menopause and associated health risks I would recommend getting treatment with bio identical hormone therapy. Female hypogonadism can cause raised cholesterol levels, increased CVD risks, vaginal atrophy, incontinence, depression , insomnia, arthritis, lowered libido, flushes, memory loss, incontinence, wrinkles, loss of body hair, thin hair, sparse eyelashes and brows, sagging breasts, increased adipose fat.
