How old should a child be to wear light makeup?

I am wanting to wear light makeup, but I am afraid of my parents turning me down. How old should I be to wear just a light makeup? Just some mascara, and lip gloss. How old should I be?
I would wear very light makeup. I would wear some mascara, and lip gloss. How old should I be to wear light makeup, and how much?
I have very long eyelashes, I have been told, and I really am starting to feel the need and want to wear makeup. It would be lightly, and I have acne.

SaffronBurrows 		I started wearing make up when i was 11. If your at least 10 or older then you should be able to wear make up.

16+ everything else
Dont over do it with make up. once you start, you cant stop. Keep make up for special stuff. You'll feel and look a lot prettier when a special occasion comes around.

EmilyMortimer 		Lip gloss can be worn once you are at least eight. I think you shouldn't wear mascara until you are in 7th grade or 11yr old. if you think about wearing eyeliner soon, i would say you can wear it on special occasions, but wait until you are in at least 8th grade/13yr old to wear it on a regular day to day basis.

NicoleKidman 		Around 13 but becareful with what kind of makeup your wearing if you have acne. I suggest you cleanse your skin more often before wearing makeup then when you do wear makeup make sure your skin will stay clear and flawless.
